Value Engineering to be an organized approach to providing the necessary
services at the lowest cost. VE process cannot negatively impact schedule or
affect the quality of the product.

These exercises are
designed to identify unnecessary cost defined as, “Cost which provides

- This process provides the needed services to accomplish the original
purpose of the project, at the lowest life-cycle cost without sacrificing

Scheduling and
Risk assessment begins at the pre-job meeting held between Acme’s Managers,
Estimators, Purchasing, Project Accountant, Field Superintendent, and
Project Manager.
- Weekly
office meetings are held to update information relating to the above
information. This process is renewed on a weekly basis throughout the
project duration.
- Acme
Electric utilizes Microsoft Project scheduling software, McCormick
estimating software, and AutoCAD 2006.
